So I was browsing the WoW Europe forums and noticed that every class forum has threads from CMs requesting feedback on talents. What's good? What's bad? Etc. Now my question is: Where's our request for feedback? Is the U.S. community really that ill tempered? Are we more biased? Or was this just an initiative on part of the EU CMs? Either way it would be nice to have some official form to submit feedback. It would be even nicer if the U.S. CMs communicated nearly as well as the EU CMs. Sadly, I glean more information from the Europe boards than ours...Wouldn't one think otherwise since we're "closer to the source" ? Eh, call me an information whore but this bugs me! Either way, if you're at all curious here's the links to the EU class forums:
Druid
Hunter
Mage
Paladin
Priest
Rogue
Shaman
Warlock
Warrior
If you'd like to submit similar feedback comment on/bump my post here and maybe our blues will set one up!

For some reason the CMs in EU have always been more responsive and more open to the community. Almost all big, new information comes from the EU site and not the US site. When class changes are made/contemplated, there are almost always lots of posts by CMs on EU class forums. There was a time that no CM posted in almost 6 months on the hunter US forums.
Is the U.S. community really that ill tempered?
Yes.
Was this just an initiative on part of the EU CMs?
Yes.
A lot of the US CMs have a lot more direct contact and role with game development than people give them credit for, and while they might not communicate with our disgruntled community as well as the EU CMs do with their community, they probably have a reliable link between each other - between CMs, that is.
I'm sure the CMs over there took the initiative to get people going, to give people incentive, but people also neglect the fact that our boards are, whether obvious or not, being read. I can mark this true, I used to browse the Suggestion Forums all the time and, while the users would suggest and refine, I've seen user suggestions come out as a final product in their vision to Blizzard's suiting.
Class forums, as horrible as they are over here, are still looked at. I'll bet they just refuse to respond because any one player will eat them alive, not necessarily the class of the forum they're posting on. People get angry that they don't see a plentiful amount of blue text, but I think it's in Blizzard's best interest to keep it at that, safe from the awaiting, gnashing, speed-typing fingers of the insatiable angry people.
Look, you're doing a good job and everything, but Blizzard does not care and the second expansion is one year away. When it comes out, thousands of hopes, predictions and tons of hype will pop like a soap bubble. It's all useless, putting in some many energies actually makes the waiting game even worse in the long run. And you end up being a tool for their shameless hype machine which is already in full power despite WotLK's development still being in a stage akin to crayon notes on a coffee stained handkerchief.
@dylan
What a conspiracy. As I'm sure you're aware, the hype, hopes, and predictions are all player driven as Blizzard continues to deny information to the public. Some people will be pleasantly surprised, others won't. It's the nature of an MMO, where the ESRB warns you this may happen: experience may change.
Their proposed "hype machine" must be made of blood, brains and bodyparts known as the World of Warcraft Community.
People will say what they would like to see, and Blizzard looks at it. It's their decision, ultimately, to decide what actually goes in, but they take many things into consideration; if you doubt that, then you're not very imaginative nor informed. But I guess, as you put it, lots of players are 'tools' for suggesting and effectively implementing features into this game.
THIS JUST IN! Blizzard takes no feedback and does not strive to create a game players will enjoy; only a game their employees will enjoy.
If I'm unclear on anything, please explain.
Having visited Europe and experienced the culture differences and lifestyle, its easy to see why Blizzard CM's are closer to the community there than on US forums.
Simply put, Americans are lazy, hypocritical, and stubborn.
Obviously there are many exceptions, but if you take a good look at the people that browse class forums, you would probably agree. Many decent threads get swallowed and overrun by troll posts and others finding ways to boast or complain. Everyone thinks that the Blue posters hate them and are only there to delete inappropriate posts or topics. So they get a bad rep, which probably leads to avoiding feedback topics like Hak said. And thats when you get those 20 page QQ fests like "BLIZZ PLEASE RESPOND NERF WARLOCKS" and every gets pissed when they don't. A little more Constructive and less Destructive would help.
@Dylan - There's nothing wrong with using your imagination. Thats like saying, "Why watch Lord of the Rings" You are just going to be upset when the movie ends and you find out you can't use magic." While some people would rather just wait until it comes, others like speculating. Plus Like the others said, Blizzard is still watching the forums, even though they might not post.
PS - OMG NERF WARLOCKS post WOtLK
I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of those talents. Although they are 41+ points so maybe all classes' will be powerful.

I don't necessarily think so. I remember Blizzard saying they're not going to make the new talents particularly any more powerful than the others, but still good enough to be worth dropping the points into it rather than continuing split-specs (final decision is still up to the player, though!)
However, although I like the idea of Blasphemy, I think Druids should get a new Remove Curse that dispels 2 like Dispel Magic (Rank 2) always has. Or maybe talented. ;)
51 point Frost talent:
You Chill / Freezing effects now work on all enemies.
Oh my god would I love this! Chance of implementation 0.1% * 10^-23

Hakawne: you answered to yourself. Blizzard doesn't care, so if you like to play puppet and feel happy, you have proven yourself an idiot by your own terms.
"Hakawne: you answered to yourself. Blizzard doesn't care, so if you like to play puppet and feel happy, you have proven yourself an idiot by your own terms. "
... Assuming that Blizzard doesn't care, which is a pretty ignorant statement. Its hard for me to believe that a company that which relies on customer satisfaction to stay successful would ignore the comments and concerns of their users. While they can't cater the game to fit every individuals desires, I would bet that they consider almost every reasonable idea / problem that people express to them. If you are one of those crybabies on the forums saying "BLIZ YOU SUCK. Why is my dps not #1? change it pls k thx", then I can see why you have that opinion.
@Draele - Cmon make more posts. I'm really bored at work and already cycled through my daily sites twice.

You clearly failed to see the effect of my comment at all. I guess that's a sure sign that any further comments from you should be taken with a mound of salt. Smothered in salt, in fact.
